Sheffield indie giants Arctic Monkeys have given fans a preview of their new material with a bizarre new video.
Leaking online, the new video shows the band relaxing in the United States. Arctic Monkeys of course travelled to the States to record their third album with Josh Homme. The Queens Of The Stone Age frontman took the band to his studio in The Joshua Tree, California and has apparently added a rock dimension to their sound.
The new album was previewed in a series of shows in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year. Fans gave the album an overwhelming thumbs up, but footage was kept off the internet by the band.
However a new video has leaked which shows some band members performing a new song. Drummer Matt Helders and frontman Alex Turner harmonise over a guitar part in the video, which also features Helders meeting rapper P Diddy.
Bizarrely, the rap superstar claims he is a massive Arctic Monkeys fan. "This is your boy Diddy," he says in the video.
"I'm the newest member of Arctic Monkeys. I'm not going to be singing, I'm not going to be playing instruments, but I'm going to be part of the crew. If you fuck wit' Arctic Monkeys you gotta fuck with em."
"I'm probably the biggest Arctic Monkeys fan, so when I met this guy it was a dream come true. He is the biggest Puff Daddy fan in the world. He obsesses with me. We're having a bromance."
Arctic Monkeys will release their new album later this year.
