Atomic Lighting, Lititz, Pennsylvania, provided an assortment of Coemar Infinity and ParLite Led lights to Univision's Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina awards show, broadcast live on March 26.
Ranked as history's highest-rated Spanish television show, the 21st annual Latin music honor-bestowal emanated from the 8,000-seat BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
Atomic Lighting's VP, director of account management Brad Hafer supplied the lights to lighting designer Carlos Colina and crew, who'd envisioned a mammoth and memorable evening. Recalls Hafer: "We supplied them with the array of Coemar lights needed to get the job done: 60 Infinity Wash XLs, 12 Infinity ACLs, and 24 ParLite Leds. These were used for audience lighting," he says, "as well as stage wash access effect. Overall, they were the anchor lights."
Infinity Wash XL lights feature a new color-mix system able to achieve CMY and RGB colors (CMY-s, Patent Pending). They offer various lens options (such as a zoom kit 6-36 degrees for extra brightness, and PC pens for ACL type beam), as well as a beam shaper rotating and indexing at 360 degrees (patent pending).
Brighter than a 1,200W fixture, in a 250W package, Coemar Infinity ACLs include a focusable black-light, along with moon flower and split color beam effects. They also boast a variable beam size and variable beam control with rotating aerial effects.
