Camden Town’s hugely iconic ska pop / 2 tone band, Madness, celebrate the release of their new album, 'Liberty Of Norton Folgate’, with a free show and signing session at HMV’s flagship store, on Oxford Street in London’s West End on Tuesday 19th May 2009.
Showtime starts at 1.00 pm, after which the band will remain in the store to meet fans and sign copies of the new album which is officially released the previous day, Monday 18th May through Lucky 7 Records.
The new album has already begun receiving critical acclaim in the music press. The Word magazine reviewed the album as, 'Norton Folgate is Peter Ackroyd writing for The Kinks, it’s Sherlock Holmes in Albert Square, it’s a Mike Leigh movie of Parklife, it’s Passport To Pimlico meets Brick Lane, and it is Madness’s masterpiece.'
The band are set to play this years Glastonbury Festival and the first Madstock of this century at London’s Victoria Park on Friday July 17th.
