VAN MORRISON has recorded his recent concerts in Los Angeles to give copies to actress Farrah Fawcett.
The legendary singer is a big fan of the former Charlie's Angels star and met her long-term partner Ryan O'Neal backstage after his show in the city on May 9.
Fawcett, who is battling cancer, has been a fan of Morrison since the 1970s, so he recorded his shows so she was able to watch them from home.
A representative for the singer said: "Van is also a huge fan of Ryan and Farrah's work", adding that his favourite movies include Fawcett's The Apostle and O'Neal's Barry Lyndon.
The artist's 1987 song 'Queen Of The Slipstream' also appears in Fawcett's NBC documentary about her cancer battle.
He is set to release a new live DVD, Astral Weeks Live At The Hollywood Bowl, on May 19
