Hip Hop Hoodios The name of this collective, Hip Hop Hoodios, is a play with words. In Spanish, the word for Jews is Judios (pronounced hoo-dee-ohs). The adventurous Hip Hop Hoodios incorporate Latin American (reggaeton and cumbia), Jewish (Klezmer and Sephardic) and African American urban (hip hop) music forms, while using good humor and demonstrating social concerns, rapping in Spanish, English, Hebrew and Ladino. The group's latest release, Carne Masada (another word play) features guest musicians from well known Latin & Jewish artists such as Ozomatli, The Klezmatics, The Pinker Tones, Delinquent Habits, Los Mocosos, and Los Abandoned.
