The Duchess of York is set to spend time on a housing estate in her new show in a bid to bring back community spirit.
The Sarah Ferguson Project is being made for ITV1 in the Manchester area - but more information about exact locations is not being released at this stage.
Those behind the programme said Sarah believes women living in fractured communities hold the key to making the situation better.
The Duchess said: "Some of our communities are so fragmented and I'm convinced that if we can start to give people a sense of community spirit they can start to work together to improve their local area and lifestyles."
Sarah will attempt to come up with a blueprint for change that could help the families she meets.
She will be shown the ropes by one family and tour the locality with them to learn as much as she can from the area.
The Duchess has previously been involved in filming the plight of orphans in Romania and Turkey.
Commissioner of the two part series, ITV's controller of entertainment Layla Smith said: "Sarah is a passionate force in instigating change and we are delighted that we have persuaded her to make another programme for ITV."
