International DJ to transform South African dance music

ICE Productions marks its triumphant return to the South African dance scene this May, bringing two of the most forward-thinking DJ names in the dance music genre to these shores.

Already legendary for producing the most ground breaking dance events ever seen in South Africa, ICE now re-emerges from the undercurrents of the real underground with the ICE Re-Birth Operation 1.2 - May 8/9th (CPT and JHB respectively) featuring Nick Warren, Afroboogie (DJ Nelson).

"A new energy for a new time". This is how Graham Cooke of ICE Productions articulates his revolutionary vision for regenerating the dance entertainment offering to a new level of conscious engagement. There are many who do not need any convincing. They have received the treatment before and are ready and willing, if not screaming, for more.

The new generation of music lover, not having been so privileged, is about to be find its musical experience reborn!

"This bathing in new energy flows naturally to sponsors and brands, and you will be seeing new associations with market leading blue chip companies and brands, who will soon realize that dance entertainment of this standard is the new electronic media," says Cooke. The power of information systems, social networking technology, sophisticated database construction, management technology and data mining techniques make this the new hot property for brand trajectory management and acceleration.

"Our recipe is a secret formula, but I promise that everyone who joins us in the ICE Re-birth will feel the full force and benefit of the new energy . The music and visual/audio outputs are choreographed and produced down to the nanosecond, and you can expect the ultimate electronic experience."

"Nick Warren, international DJ and Producer, is my first choice for the opening events. Nick has more Global Underground album mixes than any other DJ and has helped to establish the biggest dance compilation CD brand in the world.

Nick Warren remains at the forefront of club culture: he packs clubs and arenas worldwide from London to Los Angeles to Taipei, transfixing dance-floors with his distinctively forward thinking blend of credible progressive sounds, cutting-edge techno, atmospheric layers and whatever strategic grooves Warren deems appropriate for his turntable alchemy. In 2008 he released his eighth mix CD for the Global Underground series, GU035: Lima. He also completed his fourth studio album with Way Out West, Warren’s pioneering electronic/band collaboration with Jody Wisternoff. He recently became the head of A&R for Hope Recordings, thus keeping him immersed and integrated at the forefront of the shifting tides in the new dance-music movements.

Nick will be joined at the ICE Re-Birth Operation 1.2 by Afroboogie (DJ Nelson) – South Africa’s most successful DJ from a global perspective. He is currently resident at The Peppermint Club in Dubai and is producing quality releases which can be found in the boxes of some of the worlds most respected DJ names like Steve Lawler, Sasha and Laurent Garnier.

"Two world class artists in the league of Nick Warren and Afroboogie (DJ Nelson) for our re-birth! It quite honestly could not have been scripted better"

The ICE Re-Birth Operation 1.2 has no elitist areas. Everyone is a VIP and everyone will experience top class entertainment and treatment. Held at Wembley Stadium in Johannesburg and the latest stylish venue to hit Cape Town, Chevelle, there is just one single ticket that allows all fans to be part of this exceptional experience. The event will also feature fully licensed bars, food stalls and flea-markets, Playstation Gaming (TBC), and an Ambient Zone featuring The Wireless Penguin (top psy-chill international artiste.)
